Scholarships Opportunities 

The Nebraska Academy of Sciences administers five scholarships for high school students totaling $2150 each year. Two collegiate scholarships totaling $1500 are also awarded each year.

NAS announces our 2025 Scholarship Winners:

High School Winners:

Loren Eiseley Memorial Scholarship ($500) is awarded to Allison Schimmer from Northwest High School in Grand Island.  She will attend UNL.

The Robert S. Kubicek Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) is awarded to Jenna McBride from Ogallala High School.  She will attend Mid Plains Community College.

The Taylor Memorial Scholarship ($1000) is awarded to Blake Marlar of Northeast High School in Lincoln.  Blake will pursue a degree in Geology from UNL.

Collegiate  Winners:

 Haydn Klaus, of Doane College was awarded this year's C. Bertrand and Marian Othmer Schultz Collegiate Scholarship Awardee for $1,500
