History of Presidential Awards for Excellence - NATS has presented Presidential Awards for Excellence since 1983. 2007 finalists are Tyler Berzina, Millard West High School, Omaha; Joan Christen, Beatrice High School; and LeeAnn Vaughan, Omaha North Magnet School. Julia Polak, Milligan Public School was the 2006 winner. Jim Rynearson, Lincoln High School was the 2005 winner.

Presidential Award Winners

History of NATS Catalyst Awards - The Catalyst Award is given annually by the Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science at the Fall Conference. The Catalyst Award recognizes "contributions to science education in Nebraska." The 2007 winners were Gayle Ellison, Lewiston Public Schools, and Cecelia Dorn, Nebraska Academy of Sciences, Lincoln, NE.

Catalyst Award Winners

The Nebraska Scientific Award - The NATS organization annually awards science educators who have been active members in NATS for 20 years with a medallion. This is presented at the fall conference and was sponsored by McGraw/Glencoe Publishing Company in 2004.
