History of Presidential Awards for Excellence - NATS has presented Presidential Awards for Excellence since 1983. Congratulations to the National 2010 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science Teaching for Nebraska (elementary) Laura Callahan, Bancroft Elementary School, Omaha, NE; and 2010 Presidential State Winners (elementary) Karen Humphrey, Adams Elementary, Omaha, NE; and Sheryl Uehling, Logan View Public School, Hooper, NE.

Presidential Award Winners

History of NATS Catalyst Awards - The Catalyst Award is given annually by the Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science at the Fall Conference. The Catalyst Award recognizes "contributions to science education in Nebraska." The 2011 winners were Dan Sitzman, Omaha North High School; and Steve Waller, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, NE.

Catalyst Award Winners

The Nebraska Scientific Award - The NATS organization annually awards science educators who have been active members in NATS for 20 years with a medallion. This is presented at the fall conference and was sponsored by McGraw/Glencoe Publishing Company in 2004.
