The purpose of the Nebraska
Association of Teachers of Science is the advancement, stimulation,
extension, improvement, and coordination of science education in all
fields of science at all levels.

held September 23 - 25, 2010. Please remember that the NATS Fall Conference moved to an earlier date than traditionally scheduled starting in 2008. Check out the conference page for
more details. Conference registration and Conference session descriptions will be available in early August.
2009 Fall Conference Highlights
2010 KICKS Summer Institutes Eleven KICKS Institutes will occur this summer and will be led by award-winning Nebraska science educators and university professors. Teachers may apply for one or more of these institutes. Nomination forms must be returned by April 16th.
Mini-Grants
Available
The Nebraska Academy of Sciences has a grant program
offering mini-grants of $200 to $2000 for travel and equipment. These
grants are available to K-12 teachers as well as college and university
students and professors. For more information download the NAS Information
and Application forms. Application deadlines are May 1 and November 1.

Science Teacher Literacy Website - A new site launched by UNMC to showcase Science Teacher Tools, Student Enrichment, and Student Science Competitions available to students and teachers in Nebraska.
